Frequently Asked Questions
-
Our first appointment is for hearing your story, completing a full diagnostic assessment, and understanding your goals of treatment. We will introduce treatment planning and lay out our follow-up plan. We will also discuss standard practice policies and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. If indicated, outside referrals will be provided.
For second opinion consults, we will have a longer one-time visit with coordination of care to be completed with your outside provider following the appointment or recommendations will be given directly to you to communicate with your outside provider. It is certainly possible to move forward as a patient after a second opinion consult should we decide on that together.
If you have a telehealth appointment booked, you will receive a link 1 hour prior to the visit.

I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield/Anthem PPO plans and Blue Cross Blue Shield Blue Choice PPO plans.
I also see patients who are out of network or without insurance and would be self-pay. Cost of services is outlined in our Insurance & Fees section.
I am not enrolled in Medicare or Medicaid programs.
I cannot see patients on Medicaid and prescriptions I write would not be covered by Medicaid.
I do not accept new patients on Medicare due to the above, and you are encouraged to seek in-network care with Medicare.
However, if you are a pre-existing patient of mine who is transitioning to Medicare, you can pay a self-pay rate for services rendered, and will have to sign a specific contract for this acknowledging that Medicare will not allow reimbursement of these costs. Typically this would be offered during a transition period while you seek in-network care with Medicare.
For patients who are out of network with private insurance, after your appointment is charged, you will be provided with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for possible out-of-network reimbursements.

I believe continuity of care is paramount to helping you achieve your mental health goals and achieve or maintain stability.
