Ascension Perinatal Intensive Outpatient Program

Specialized, structured treatment for pregnant and postpartum parents experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. The program includes group therapy, psychiatric care, parenting support, and opportunities to strengthen parent–baby bonding. Babies may attend with their parents. CALL 855-383-2224

Pregnancy, Breastfeeding & Medication Information

  • MotherToBaby

    For information about the potential effects of medications and other exposures during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Treatment decisions should consider both the possible risks of medication exposure and the risks that untreated mental health conditions may pose to the mother and baby.

  • MGH Center for Women’s Mental Health

    Provides accessible, evidence-based information about reproductive mental health across the life cycle. Articles review current research and clinical considerations related to psychiatric conditions, treatment, and medications during infertility, pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, PMS and PMDD, and menopause.

  • LactMed

    A searchable NIH database providing detailed, scientifically referenced information about medications and breastfeeding. Each entry may include medication levels in breast milk, potential effects on breastfed infants and milk production.
